Eating Alone

Eating Alone

They decided to pull over another two rectangular table so that almost fifteen of us could sit together.

But I don’t see the point.

With a table extending over 5 meter long, no meaningful conversation would be facilitated among all members of the table setting. This perceived idea of unity is portrayed as a proof for what? This I couldn’t understand.

Eventually the topic shifted to eating alone vs. eating with friends.

I left, knowingly comfortable with the idea of eating alone and not intending to participate in the conflict.

I enjoy eating alone at times, so I don’t have to entertain respective face needs, stupidity and egos when I don’t have to.
